Welcome to Mermaid Beach AEME Surf Life Saving Club. The club welcomes kids and adults who have a passion for the ocean, a desire to help others and those wanting to learn more about surf safety. Family memberships are available for children aged 5 to 13 years and their parent/s/guardians. Single memberships are available from 14 years onwards. Conditions apply. You can sign up either as a new member to surf lifesaving, a transferring member from another club with in Australia or a renewing member for those already at Mermaid Beach AEME SLSC. All current members are required to renew and pay for their membership online. New and transferring members may join and pay your fees online or you can call into the office and we will be more than happy to help you with the correct forms. For new members to join they will require the following forms and ID to be presented to the office along with the membership fee before membership is complete:
Nipper: 5 – 13 yrs.
Application form
Proof of age, i.e. birth certificate or passport
Swim proficiency form
Cadet/Juniors: 14 – 17 yrs.
Application form
Proof of age, i.e. birth certificate or passport
Active/Award/Associate: 18 yrs. and older
Application form
ID: Birth certificate, passport, drivers licence
Supporters Club membership form, and
a current Volunteer Working with Children Blue Card
All members over the age of 18, holding club roles involving contact with children or youth MUST have a current Volunteer QLD Working with Children Blue Card. To apply for your QLD Working with Children Blue Card go the BLUE CARD SERVICE APPLICANT PORTAL and register for an online account.
